About MGGAU GORAKHPUR

Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University, Gorakhpur, formerly State Ayush University, Uttar Pradesh, is an affiliating State University located in Gorakhpur. It was established through the Uttar Pradesh Act No. 6 of 2020, specializing in Ayurveda, yoga & naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and homoeopathy (AYUSH).

The Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University will be expanded in around fifty-two hectares to disseminate and advance knowledge in Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, Yoga and naturopathy, Siddha and Sowa-rigpa, Nursing, Pharmacy, Paramedical Science and such other disciplines as may be prescribed from time to time and to ensure efficient and systematic instructions, teaching, training and research therein.

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is a Bachelor’s Degree Course offered in India. It is a full-time 4+ years + 1-year internship course on Ayurveda, the holistic and ancient branch of medicine that focuses on preventive and curative health care.

BAMS

BAMS stands for Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. It is a five-and-a-half-year undergraduate degree program that combines the study of modern medicine and traditional Ayurvedic practices.

LAB

BAMS labs use a mix of traditional Ayurvedic instruments and modern diagnostic tools. They provide training for students and perform tests for the attached hospital..

Pharmacist(Ayurveda)

Diploma in Ayurvedic Pharmacy is a 2-year diploma level program in Ayurveda. The eligibility criteria for the program is passing 10+2 in Sciences stream (PCB/ PCM) with a minimum aggregate of 50% and above from a recognized board.
